About the workshop
The first part of the workshop will be dedicated to a process of improvisation. The practice should enhance access to materials and observance of the ingredients which we will reach. The second part of the workshop will be more focused on choreography practice. Through the images, materials and experience we have gathered in the first, improvisational part of the workshop, we will focus on the currents and undercurrents of the composition. The theme is working on growing movement vocabulary in a search for the origins of movement, widening our options and entering different states of sensorial awareness.
Anat Shamgar (Israel) is a dance maker, who combines choreography and improvisation. Anat’s artistic language is an ongoing research using techniques of body mind sensorial work and kinetic awareness. The techniques are used to integrate the physical sources, imagination, sensations and feelings into compositional understanding.
Shamgar is dedicated to collaboration with fellow artists. She collaborated with distinguished musicians, dancers and performance artists.
